Finally i have completed it! I deleted the other Arin image as it was a work in progress image and it was cluttering up my gallery. Anyways, upon the eletion of that older Arin image i have submitted a shiny and new Arinsmoon image with (cheap/crappy!) starry night sky backdrop! Ok, ok, it's not fantastic but i think it's fitting to what i had in mind. I didnt want to over-do the background or attention will be drawn away from the main purpose of this image. Arinsmoon. The poor guy deserved a image finally after all these years of isolation, no?

A heaving 32-layer psd file was all that i needed to complete this image!...?? Im suprised my laptop didnt burn up in smoke personally even though it is a beautiful machine.. ^^;

Comments and faves helps a moi become more artistically productive... :D

EDIT: I had a little go all the suggestions i recived from people to make the image better and all i can say is... Thanks guys. This is definately a better image than before :) I changed the backdrop to something more complex using the tutorial given to me by and then i took some advice from zoe and ended up putting in scale detailing everywhere when i was only meant to be adding some light to the markings lol

p.s. I can not in all the world figure out a decent title for this ARGH.

I love the raindbow accenting and the colouing on the tail and mane is so beautiful. I really like this picture, it was worth almost blowing up your laptop. :heart:

Very happy to see this finished. X3 I think it really turned out great.

I think it might have popped a bit better if you had taken the shading a little deeper on the figure, and added more highlights to the markings.

The wings are very, very cool. Love the rich blue on them. Though, I'd like to see the blue used somewhere else in the design to help tie it in, and the same with the teal of the hair. Maybe blue highlights in the hair and teal eyes? I don't know if adding those colors to the main body markings would work very well, since the black on white contrast is so nice, and the markings are so intracate.

Love the markings and color combination to bits. The way you showed the muscle in the legs looks lovely, too. :3

Yeah i was thinking about adding in highlights to the markings too, but i can really only revisit that when i have more time since im packing things up for the move into my new house.

Thanks for the idea of bringing more blue and teal in here and there, i like that idea and i'll have a go with it, i have an idea of there being a ring of teal either going around the pupil or along the edge of the iris or something. As for the hair maybe if i add a richer blue on the more pronounced bits of the hair, like it's shimmering into a different colour like the rainbow on his scales? Im not sure, i really need to look into it more. But thanks zoe, i really do respect any crit coming from you ^^

I may as well put this into practice when i do some changes to the image on a later date ^^
